“Turen er meget oversolgt i beskrivelsen af turen. Der er så absolut ingen “førsteklasses e cykler”. Cyklerne var meget brugte med bremser, der hvinede og gear der takkede over. Der var ingen “historiske højdepunkter i Alicantes gamle bymidte”, ingen “anekdoter”og meget få “historiske fakta”. Spurgte man om noget uddybende, rakte det engelske ikke til at få et svar. Sidst men ikke mindst var det jo en tur der skulle slutte med snorkling. Guiden sagde inden turen at det pga kraftig blæsevejr var svært at gennemføre snorkling. Vi udtrykte forståelse, men havde regnet med at vi skulle prøve det alligevel. ( når nu ikke de aflyste turen elller tilbød noget andet)…”

Cycling is done on partly heavily trafficked roads. Blue. highway-like road. Cool with snorkeling on your own. The guides were a bit silent. A little more commitment on their part would make the joy a little bigger. All in all a nice trip. However, not suitable for small children, due to the traffic”

Onze gids Angelo was supervriendelijk en wist ons alles te vertellen over de omgeving: de planten, de kruiden die langs de weg groeien, de gebouwen die je tegenkomt. Hij heeft ons van tevoren heel duidelijk en rustig uitgelegd hoe de fiets werkt en ons een oefenrondje laten rijden. Hij gaf ons alle vertrouwen door duidelijk te communiceren over de route die we zouden gaan volgen. Ook gaf hij veel vrijheid in wat we graag wilden zien en hoe lang wel op verschillende stops zouden blijven. We begonnen de trip bij de magnifieke Scala dei Turchi en vervolgden…”
