“Small bike rental shop owned by a local couple, who offer ordinary bike rental, but also a shorter 2,5 hour inner-city guided tour or 4 hour tour including the suburbs. We have done many sightseeing tours by bike, but the one comes in top due to the engagement, knowledge and proud local guide, who truly loved her city and liked to communicate with people from other cultures. We also enjoyed hearing her views and experiences about Croatias situation as part of Yogoslavia and now in the EU. Worth the money and a good start in a city you dont know yet. Also our teenage sons thought it was great.”

Meet Ivan and Dino 5 km from Omiš for an 8 km return ride through the Cetina River Canyon. Stable water bikes need no steering and suit beginners, though pedaling for an hour or two takes effort. Dino follows by motorboat with water, photos, river insight, and a tow if your legs give out.

“We chose to do these water bikes because we’d not done anything like this before and the experience was very different! The views of the river and canyon are a must see and we thought these bikes would be more fun than a standard boat trip. Ivan provided drinks and snacks and stayed behind while Dino was very informative and accompanied on a boat. We chose to do the 5 o’clock tour as the 2 o’clock would have been too hot and this was a good decision. I will say though, the pedalling can become hard work especially after the hour mark. There is a break half way through but…”
